Right-wing outgoing President Jair Bolsonaro has posted a video on his social profiles in which he asks his supporters to lift blockades on highways across Brazil. The leader, defeated in the presidential elections, said he understood the frustration of the demonstrators, saying however that it is time to “get your head together”. “I know you’re angry, sad, expecting something different. Me too. I’m just as angry as you are. But we have to keep our heads together,” he said. Bolsonaro said blocking the highways harms the right of movement of the population and that one cannot “lose legitimacy”.
