The UK is in the eye of the storm. After the death of Queen Elizabeth and the lightning resignation of Liz Truss, there seems to be no peace for Great Britain. Economic crisis, war and international circumstances are literally bringing the reign of Charles III to its knees. And there doesn’t seem to be a shred of hope for the future. On the horizon, in fact, there are two other crises that will corner the stability of the state. The knots that are about to come to a head are Ireland and Scotland which will go towards independence also through consultative referendums. This was announced by Lucio Caracciolo, director of Limes, who spoke about it during the episode of “Mezz’ora in più” broadcast on 23 October on Rai3.
“The United Kingdom, among others, also has the problem of the state crisis – Lucio Caracciolo said to the presenter, the journalist Lucia Annunziata – Scotland wants to re-propose the referendum, there is more and more talk of the reunification of Ireland. Basically, we don’t know if the UK will still be united.”
