There is a thin thread that connects Terzigno and Hollywood: the land of international cinema. A young director from Vesuvius who started from the bottom and who today conquers the USA thanks to two of his films, both awarded in the context of an event. Excellences from Campania that achieve success overseas, consolidating the sacrifices made over the years. Jean Luc Servino returns from the USA with the awareness of having carried out a work in the name of quality, international cinema has its own star who began to shine from Terzigno. At the “Skiptown Playhouse” International Film Festival, in the heart of Hollywood, Jean-Luc Servino, nominated with three of his short films (Goodnight Mister Johnson, I fell in love with a Balloon and Dear Gaia), takes home two wins: respectively Best International Short Film with “I fell in love with a Balloon” and best performance in a short film with actress Rita Miranda for “Dear Gaia”. A double recognition that consecrates him after what has already been done in the past and after the awards received in recent years also at a national level. A choral success therefore for JLS Films, an independent cinematographic reality based in the heart of the Vesuvius, which continues to grind successes around the world, only two months ago it was the turn of Barcelona with “Letter from Professor V”. «We are independent artists, we live a bit in the shadows but we represent 95% of the film industry, we are the beating heart of the world of cinema», said Jean-Luc during his appreciated award speech which ended with a special dedication to Father Ferdinando Servino. JLS Films is about to start shooting a new film entitled “And we laugh a little about it”.
